It is situated at an elevation of 2285m southwest of Kathmandu. Champdevi is a pilgrimage site having a Buddhist Stupa and a Hindu shrine. The whole walk to the hill is about 4 to 5 hours from Kathmandu and involves both cultural and a short challenging walk to steep hill climbing. It is also very easily accessible by road to the start and finish points and is worth getting away from the crowded city to see the village life and the beautiful views.
Met at the hotel by your guide at 0700hrs and drive to Pharping which is about 16kms. As you commence to hike the trail heads north along the pine forested ridge and through stone paved roads which is about an hour or two, then the trail makes round bound towards south and takes another 2 to 3-hour's walk to reach Champadevi. The views of central and western Himalayan ranges are magnificent. After enjoying the splendid views, you come down following the same path to Pharping for about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu.
